Nine days have passed since Hayden got into an accident and fell into a coma. Nine days of hoping for a miracle that would allow him to wake up. Nine long, endless days.
Half of me is conquered by despair, while the other half clings to the hope that he will recover soon. I refuse to let fear and doubt overcome me. Hayden is dark and complicated, but as the days pass, I’m more determined to fight for him despite the hurdles in our way.
I have to believe that there won’t be serious consequences once he wakes up. I have to believe that we will overcome all obstacles and become stronger together.
After all, we may be both damaged, but we’re each other’s salvation.

The third book in the bullied series seems calm after the storm. Given the complexity of the hero, Hayden it very surprising that this book was played like it did. It feel like we got our honeymoon period with these two . They were all loved up and ready to handle things maturely which showed with the way Sarah handles him in this book
It’s an interesting turn of events given this series touches on darker side of mental illness. This book played to Sarah’s strengths and lets her take control of the insecurities of their relationship. Hayden’s constant need to be reassured shows that anyone can have insecurities and they can become beautiful over time.
It’s sweet ending that was surprising given how dark the previous books in the series where. It felt like we revisiting the same scene over and over but there is a reason behind that makes you think about this journey. How it never clear cut when there is unique circumstances changes a person way of thinking and this book showed how much work Sarah has put in into this series.
Mullin’s has a distinct brand of bully romance and I will be curious to see where she goes next with her writing as this was unique and I enjoyed the tale of Hayden and Sarah.
