I left my life behind me.

My sister.

My MC.

I need room to breathe and room to think, to make my own choices and to own my mistakes.

Bitterness and anger cloud my judgment when it comes to the MC. What is so great about them that I can’t have on the outside? What is so great about the patch?

That is all I’ve experienced with the club.

I hated to leave my sister. She’s the only reason I stayed as long as I did.

But it’s time for something new.

And yet, I find myself searching for trouble, wanting—needing to be someone’s savior.I have the best poker face, but when I lay down my winning hand and they shove a girl at me, bound and scared, for my prize, I knowI’ve landed in the middle of something bigger than me.The girl? Scarlett Rose.

My reason for being.

My clarity.

I just have to prove it to her.

She needs protection, and I’ll die before they hurt her again.

Walking away from the life you know it isn’t easy. Boomer is questioning his world  again after he is given a woman to help. Scarlett is scared and you can tell instantly that  she been through something that has changed her and made her afraid of the world around her.

Both struggling with their own problems, Boomer slowly wins Scarlett over when he realises the woman he is given is something special and he wants to protect her. He sees through the brokenness and wants to heal the woman who is slowly becoming his world.

In world of MC’s there is no place to show tenderness when it comes to your job. Boomer took a risk and  the rewards were worth it. He may have put himself on the line but  rewards were worth it. Their connection may of been instant because of the situation that had unfolded but their romance was  slow.

They took their time figuring each other out and their way their brains were wired and how they viewed their world. Boomer was surprisingly  soft soul that had forced himself to become a certain character to survive the world he had chosen. It tied up his story nicely after the events of the first book and I can’t wait to see how this series will continue after this book .
