I’ve always believed that love was hard and when you found it, you held onto it with everything you have.

That wasn’t the case with Ryan.

Loving him was easy, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t hold onto him.

Because I wore a crown And he was single father raising a child…five thousand miles away.

I have been extremely picky with what I have been reviewing of late and promoting  . My tastes have been leaning a lot  to  bodice ripper historical and the 20th century Harlequins lately. I need some variety and I decided to read my first Leddy Harper’s title in a while

Throne Away caught my attention the moment, I read that blurb and honestly the concept was what interested me. I know Harper can write. I adored the other book of her’s  I have read  and  knew that I was going  love this one.

As reading a few Harlequin has got in me in the mood for a story with an interesting trope concept and this one fit the bill perfectly.  Imagine Cinderella twisted with miss connections and you get this book. Ryan’s and Moria’s story has seemingly been written before they ever met.    It’s the stuff that any one dreams off right, to find the perfect person to spend the rest of your life with .

For these two , it isn’t  easy and this beauty of the story . This  is the connection that sucks you in and gets your invested in to this story, rooting for this couple and wanting experience all the feels they are having.

Without revealing too much, the basis for the story is revolves around a meet-cute situation. Ryan is struggling young father who has given up everything and meets Moira in his home town on her last night. The spend a magical night and  then things go wrong and  we follow the aftermath of that night which takes course over a few weeks.

It’s not an easy path to romance and I love how they fought for their love.  Neither of them was willing to budge for love and dramatics that went into achieving their goals was accurate to fault. Yet that not what made me  adore this book and want to tell everyone to read the book.

It’s the writing, Harper brings these characters to life with honesty and realities that people can relate to . Plus this book is  the stuff of royal dreams and I loved the twist. It’s cute and heartwarming despite the struggles the story gives these two have.

It’s meet-cute story that I couldn’t get enough of after that first scene. I love how Harper played things out and I do hope that she revisit this world again. I didn’t just fell in love with Ryan and Moira. I feel in love with the kingdom and the miss connections that made this book. This why I read Harper’s books when I get a chance, she has a talent of writing books that leave you swooning and having all the feels.

About the Author:

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped. She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females. The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. And to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
