As the year draws to a close, I have been trying to broaden my horizons. Reading new to me authors as well , my trust old favourites. Along the way, I discovered Jewel’s Cafe series.
Since we are up to book five in the series . Now is the perfect time to visit Silver Springs and enjoy the magic of Jewels Cafe. They are all 3.5 stars to 4 stars reads. Quick, fun and a whole lot of shenanigans
It’s hard enough being a chameleon shifter with wonky powers… but opening Jewels Cafe in a supernatural town like Silver Springs? Maybe not the best idea.
I thought I could work side by side with my best guy friend… but now I have to juggle hiding my crush for him and putting our cafe on the map. Because if no one in Silver Springs realizes that we’ve got this hidden gem soon, we might go out of business!
So what do we do? Create a signature drink with hints of pumpkin spice just in time for fall.
Surprise, surprise. I take one sip and I”m thrown for another loop. The sweetest bear shifter is drawn to me like honey. A sexy bunny shifter offers me his carrot. They don’t even seem to mind that I accidentally shift into everyone I meet.
But can my chameleon powers save Jewels Cafe? Can I juggle these two hot shifters and my childhood crush? And what happens when a spell threatens to tear us apart?
First up is Amber and yes there is a theme going on here which is key to this series. Though there is plenty of other ties in this series.
Amber is in love with her best friend and whilst it cliche. There much more to the story as things get muddled up and the rest is history. I love how Harlan packed so much into this novella. There was enough character development to deal with all the highs and lows of being a shifter like Amber. There was plenty on the relationship front that dealt with the whole instant connection business that some readers may feel. It’s the perfect introduction to Harlan’s writing for me personally and I can’t wait to read her other books
I only date for two reasons: blood and ice cream. But an errant love spell has my three man-snacks calling me their mate:
– A wolf shifter who’s an Instagram model.
– A Pegasus shifter who shifts when he sneezes.
As a vampire, I don’t need any mortals hanging around. I just want the delicious treats they provide…and their help stopping an old nemesis from destroying Silver Springs and tainting all the ice cream.
Can I save my town? Will my three mates thaw my frozen heart and teach me to love again?
Sapphire is a paranormal reverse harem novel. It’s part of the Jewels Cafe shared universe but can be read as a standalone.
Scroll up to read this quirky, steamy rom-com today.
Next up is Sapphire. There was a cameo of her in the previous book and honestly, that was enough to want to know more. Delaney’s offering didn’t disappoint. Sapphire is an independent woman who doesn’t want the whole mating business. She has the best of both worlds already it seems. So I loved the way Delaney reconciled her past and present together nicely. It explained the dynamics of her mates well and how fate gave her the best mates to handle her tastes. Throw in a little mystery and I was in heaven

I love a friends to lovers story and this one took the cake. With existing relationships, poor Peridot just needed a helping hand and Sinclair sure delivered that.
I love how each of them had a role to play and the guys knew the truth. Peridot may have been not up to speed on things but I love how she fought for things. It was the perfect read for Halloween and tied in well with the rest of the series.
One spelled pumpkin spice latte. Three handsome but unfriendly neighbors. A town where the unexplained might just be magical…
When Opal moves to the town of Silver Springs, the last thing she expects is to be greeted by three ridiculously attractive men as her neighbors. Unfortunately, they’re kind of jerks. Getting along with her neighbors is the least of her worries though; she has a writing deadline to meet, and to meet that deadline she’ll need lots of caffeine.
One pumpkin spice latte later, the bickering between Opal and her cute neighbors changes into something fiery, something passionate. Fighting her feelings just might be impossible, and the only way to undo it is to figure out just what was so special about that latte.
Will Opal’s heart win out, or will her head? Maybe that latte wasn’t such a bad thing after all…
Opal is a standalone reverse harem romance. It is part of the Jewels Café series and contains steamy scenes
I loved this one. It’s not easy writing a fictional author and Wondrack deliver quite a treat. There is a lot emotional riding in this story, there is a whole back story that you don’t want to miss reading in this one. Whilst Opal is no pushover, fate has other ideas and you don’t want to miss how fictional may become reality for this writer.
Not many people looked my way normally, but when you’re running down the street in a sky-blue ball gown with tears running down your face at the crack of dawn, they’re going to notice.
I’m Topaz, a tiger shifter, now chosen partner of our leader’s son. A complete and utter jerk of a shifter.
I didn’t get a say in it, clearly.
I’m not about to write my life off to be the mate to some egotistical, self-centered asshat.
But when my best friend tries to help and cheer me up, things go from shit to complete crazy when we hit a shifter on the road.
Things keep spiraling out of control, and I find myself crazily attracted to three unexpected men. I’d never have thought I’d feel this way for any of them, but here we are.
What the hell is going on?
***Please note this is a fastburn RH***
Topez is the latest and just literally finished reading it today. Perfect for ausreading month, Cluney delivered a story of a ‘princess’ on the run. However things don’t turn out as she plans.
I loved this novella, like the others it had the right balance of character development and relationship drama. Topez had a lot on her plate and you should never judge a book by a cover.
