Review: Honored: The Mountain Man’s Babies by Frankie Love @givemebooksblog

Title: Honored: The Mountain Man’s Babies

Author: Frankie Love

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: April 6, 2017

When my cousin Jax bails me out after a bar fight, I head to his middle-of-nowhere cabin.

Not my first choice—but who knows, maybe I’ll become a real fucking mountain man.

I’m not the only person staying at Jax’s  place.

His wife’s cousin, Honor, is here too.

Suddenly this mountain is looking a hell of a lot better.

When Honor tells me her life is complicated it’s the understatement of the century.

Besides having a tender heart and the face of an angel, she’s a sister-wife, on the run from her ex, desperate to give her children a better life.

I’ve spent the last few years fucking around while Honor’s been raising her babies.

It’s time for me to get my shit together.

No one thinks Honor should get involved with another man, especially a man like me.

But they don’t understand—Honor is my woman now.

And I’m not leaving this mountain until I have her.

Earlier this year , I saw one of Love’s covers and was intrigued by the novella. However the blurb didn’t capture me at the time. However I couldn’t resist a story with a kid and soon found myself reading her latest Honoured.

Honoured is exactly what I thought it would be   like.  As the series title gave a clue what to expect.  Hawk is a misguided young man who has been taken in by his older alpha male cousin  Jaxto be shaped to become like him.  Hawk isn’t too please about the turn events until he arrives at the base of the mountain and meets Honour.

Now Honour got her own little story. She running away from her past and she in denial . She a sweetheart and not willing to see the bigger picture for herself, she more concerned about everyone else.  Jax and Harper are concerned about her but there nothing to do about it. Honour is  in la  la land when it comes to facing reality.

Until Hawk walks into her life and whilst he may be the best thing that happened to her

Whilst the I wished the characters did stand up for themselves soon and weren’t whinny at the crucial point as they were. I loved this sort of novella. They are fast, fun and  a little over the top  Noting earth shattering. Just pure entertainment
